January 16-18, 2026

This weekend retreat is held at Verdant Hollow Farms, a peaceful and magical regenerative agriculture farm in Buchanan, MI.

Each day will include workshops exploring tarot and astrology as tools for intention-setting and meaning-making. These will be anchored and grounded by daily earth medicine workshops: winter floral crafting with Preeti Samraj and plant medicine making with Carly. We will also incorporate gentle movement, meditation, and sound within the days, and fires and sauna at night. We will aim to balance togetherness with ample, spacious time for self-reflection, quiet, and integration. The new moon in Capricorn serves as celestial support to help us dream and build the year ahead.

The astrology of 2026 is an initiation.

The transition year of 2025 introduced us to the major shifts that 2026 concretizes. The slow-moving outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto will be fully transitioned from signs of earth and water into signs of air and fire by mid-2026. The transpersonal planets Jupiter and Saturn are also moving from water to fire, and in late July of 2026, all of these planets will form a rare and highly anticipated configuration in between their air and fire domains. This paradigm-shifting collective astrology will anchor our personal explorations throughout the weekend.

How do we remain grounded and centered through forces of change and disruption?

Our time is an era of perma-crisis and collapse. The grounds under our feet are rapidly shifting, exposing the moral rot at the center of the power structures of our society. Many among us are turning to hate, tribalism, and delusion in order to feel safe, and the most vulnerable and marginalized in our society are paying the severe costs. These are fearsome, heart-breaking times. Hope and vision are sorely needed, and courageous action all the more. There are many reasons to hope, from a cosmic perspective, and an earth-bound one, too.

Astrology and Tarot can help us return to center amidst times of chaos.

In the workshops of this weekend, we will use these tools as supportive guides that deepen our participation in this present moment. If you are new to these tools, these workshops will help you get started in your own practice with them. If you have experience with these modalities, you can base the weekend’s activities within your own practice.

With Tarot, I will be working from the classic Smith-Rider-Waite deck (here’s my favorite version if you’re in the market for one). You can bring any decks you like to use, but I do recommend they be modeled after the classic Smith-Waite (22 major arcana, 56 minor arcana with four suits, 78 cards total). If you have questions about this you can reach out to me.

The weekend’s explorations will focus on deepening our foundations for the year ahead:

  • What resources and grounds us so that we can meet the changing moment in alignment with our core self?

  • What can we focus on building, creating, and offering?

  • What can we let fall away?

  • How can we work with the energies of this time and contribute to collective flourishing?

Chaos creates opportunity for us to relieve ourselves from social conditioning that does not align with our most deeply held values and beliefs. This is a time of incredible possibility that requires bold, courageous action to take form. I am exploring and unpacking all of this more in my Slow Tarot practice, if you want to go deeper now.

How do you want to participate in this moment of collective change?

This weekend provides time and space to delve into these questions, with the guidance of the stars and cards.
