My passion for the cards is rooted in their use as a tool for personal healing, witnessing, and self-guidance. Professional tarot readings are wonderful experiences that can be as fun as they are insightful, but nothing compares to building your own relationship to the cards. For me, this was a process that took many years and a lot of frustration. This offering is designed to be a teaching-reading, meant for those who have a deck and are in the process of building a practice with the cards. All skill levels are welcome. I have expertise with the Smith-Waite deck and variations thereof, and working knowledge of the Thoth deck, but my way of practicing can be applied to the deck of your choice with minor tweaks.
Over the course of a 75 minutes, we will take stock of your practice to date, dig into your goals around working with the cards, and do a practice reading (or two) together. Possible topics for exploration include redefining the court cards in a way that works for you, developing daily and monthly spreads aligned with your tarot desires, building a conversational relationship with your deck, and using the cards to aid your creative practice. We can also reflect on cards you are averse to, spreads that have you stuck, and incorporate tools to work through blocks and difficulties. You’ll walk away from our time with techniques to practice with, and insight into my approach with the cards which is grounded, supportive, contextual, and multidimensional - considering how the cards work with past, present, and future aspects of self.

This format can be purchased as a one-time lesson ($96) or group of three ($240), to be used over a six month timeframe.
